Kids Ministry
Kindergarten to Grade 5
11am every Sunday
Common Table offers weekly ministry for all elementary grade school kids.
Kids start in 11am worship and are dismissed all together with an adult leader who guides them out to Kids Ministry for a structured lesson. With their guide, they return to worship for communion before finishing out the service back in Kids Ministry. You can pick them up after worship concludes.
What to Expect
Common Table's Kids Ministry Coordinator, Eunsung Kim, is the leader of our K-5 ministry. The kids join the worship service for music and the scripture reading. They are then released from the worship service to go through a lesson on the same scripture read in the main service. The lesson is crafted from a program curriculum called Living the Word that Eunsung or a leading volunteer guides them through with an activity. We welcome the kids back into the main worship service for communion to ensure that they are included in the sacramental life of our community. After Communion, they return to the kids ministry room for a snack before their parent/guardian(s) pick them up after the gathering.
Kids must be checked in by their parent/guardian(s) prior to the service and will receive a name tag with a unique code. That code is used in case the parent/guardian(s) are needed for any spills, accidents or emergencies. If your child has any allergies or special needs, please inform the volunteer at check in so they are prepared and can add it to the child's profile.
All volunteers and staff who work with minors undergo a background check.
