Student Ministry
Grades 6 - 12
11:15am every other Sunday (check the calendar for the current schedule)
Common Table offers a student ministry to middle- and high-school age students every other Sunday.
Students join worship at 11am and are dismissed to join a Student Ministry leader who guides them in a structured conversation. They gather with the main worship service for communion and finish out the service in the Student Ministry.
What to Expect
The Student Ministry is led by volunteers and chaperones. They join in the main worship gathering for music and the scripture reading and then are dismissed to be led through a lesson in the Student Ministry room. The students follow the narrative lectionary called Living the Word. They have discussions and ask questions about faith, the Bible or whatever else may be on their mind. Occasionally, there are student events where volunteers chaperone students on outings to play disc golf, go bowling and more!
Contact information for each student is collected in case of emergencies. If your student has any allergies or special needs, please let a volunteer know so they are aware and prepared.
All volunteers and staff who work with minors undergo a background check.
If you're curious about the narrative lectionary the students follow, you can find out more at Spirit and Truth Publishing.
